About
Holly DeMuth is a New York based journalist focused on stories about health, the environment, justice, religion, security, and occasional odd things that intrigue her. She's an ardent defender of the Oxford comma (ask her why), but she'll bow to AP Style when necessary. She's currently an associate producer and "demon fact checker" for In the Room with Peter Bergen (Peter's words). Prior to that, she was an editorial fellow at The Intercept. Her other work can be found in Gothamist, City Limits, the Guardian's Lost on the Frontline investigation, and AudioFiles. She has experience in investigative work and breaking news, and is comfortable working in print, digital, and audio formats. Prior to journalism, she volunteered as an ER advocate for survivors of sexual assault, taught English in South Korea, and worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade. She's a recent grad of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
